Alishan is located inAlishan Township, Chiayi City,  and the Ali high mountain tea garden is between 800 meters and 1400 meters above sea level.
Alishan was the first area to grow high mountain tea in Taiwan. Alishan has since become world renowned for its high quality Jin Xuan oolong.
